The Evno BSX-W1 is a single microphone setup for bassoon that straps on for adjustment over the top of the bell joint or around the strap ring facing the tenor joint. It features a True Diversity receiver antenna system, providing the greatest distance and stability for wireless audio transmission. The package contains everything needed in a complete wireless package. The BSX1 is the perfect choice from solo performance settings, principal soloist’s in all genres, to the marching band fields.  The system can be used in low to high volume applications without the worry of low end feedback from surrounding instruments.

The BSX-CL clamp allows for perfect placement around the bell bell joint of the bassoon putting the head of the microphone at the perfect axis point without any spin or twist to off set the microphone from the instrument. It is easy to clamp on and take off the bell joint with a tightening thumb screw style clamp while always being attached at the desired height with a padded velcro strap. The clamp also allows the player to attach to the boot joint as well if desired. (Optional model: BSX2 offers a double microphone setup for mounting to both the boot and bell joints.)  The BSX1 gooseneck, designed in the USA, holds position as desired while being lightweight in design.

The microphone itself is built with perfect venting as well as a highly attractive machining process creating a beautiful look while allowing the frequencies of the instrument to fully be captured by the microphone itself.  Suspended in a standard microphone suspension of variable 7 points, the microphone allows for simple and easy replacements of the O rings as needed.  The microphone body is terminated with a 3 pin mini XLR connection which is used for both wired and wireless connections.

BSX-CL Clamp

The BSX-CL Bassoon clamp is a highly versatile mounting system.  It offers padded protection when placed up against the instrument. Secured with a wrap around velcro strap the recommended placement on an BSX1 would be at the top of the instrument on the bell joint so the microphone is placed over the top of the bell.  For the BSX2, the top mounting would stay the same, and the secondary microphone would have options.  Depending on the players preference, the mounting could be at the top or the bottom of the boot joint.  The microphone on the bottom of the boot joint would be place in the upper position and if desired, the clamp could be attached to the top portion of the boot joint and under a key rod just above the Crutch.  From this position, you can choose to face the microphone down back over the boot joint or place the microphone in the upper direction extending over the bass joint.  Style of playing may influence which setup is better for the players particular needs.

What Is Phantom power?

Phantom power is direct current (DC) electric power that is applied equally to both signal wires of a balanced microphone cable. Phantom power supplies are most often built into mixing consoles and microphone preamps. The purpose of Phantom power is to supply 48 volts of current to microphones that have built-in active circuitry over the same cable that is used to send the microphone’s signal back to the mixer or preamp. Since there is no visible power supply unit (like those common with tube microphones) the term Phantom power is used.

Do you offer a belt pack style transmitter with a volume control?

Yes, Evno offers the A2 belt pack transmitter for musicians who prefer an on-body transmitter. The A2 includes a convenient volume control, allowing players to adjust their sound levels effortlessly.

Do you have a hand held wireless microphone?

Yes, Evno offers the AH handheld microphone which sync’s to the W1, W2, and Air receivers.  The most common setup would be to combine the AH with W2 Dual receiver to have both a wireless horn microphone and hand held active at the same time.
