The Evno TPX2 trumpet microphone system is designed and manufactured by hand in the USA. It is the ultimate trumpet microphone system allowing for placement off the bell and on the bell as desired. The system includes two sets of hardware for the player that may want to choose between a bell mount or mounting off the bell.
The TPX2 setup utilizes the TPX1 trumpet microphone with additional attachments and a 6.5”gooseneck included. The microphone is designed to produce the most natural reproduction of sound possible while allowing for the most gain before feedback. The TPX systems includes a high SPL tolerance tuned capsule designed specifically for trumpet and suited for a stronger level of output that a brass instrument can produce. The microphone will allow you to be heard as you sound without coloration giving the audience a true representation of the sound the player works a lifetime to develop.
The TPX microphones are the perfect choice from solo performance settings, principal soloist’s in all genres, to high energy horn section bands of all styles. The system can be used in low to high volume applications without worry of saturating the element due to volume or high end feedback from surrounding instruments. The TPX2 is the ideal choice for trumpet players playing not only with lead style characteristics but also for the low to mid range and softer playing environments where placement off the bell is desired. The newly designed clamp allows for perfect placement on the bell of the trumpet or any flanged bell brass instrument by putting the head of the microphone at the perfect axis point without any spin or twist to off set the microphone from the instrument. The Evno Swivel clamp fits perfectly into the body of the microphone for a nice tight fit. The clamp allows for the head and gooseneck to be swiveled out away from the bell even further if needed for placement on a trumpet stand. The gooseneck also allows movement away from the bell as needed to accommodate a mute. The microphone is easy to clamp on and take off the bell with a spring loaded design while always being attached at the perfect distance. The TPX1/ TPX2 along with the Evno Swivel clamp can be moved quickly from one horn bell to another. The gooseneck, designed in the USA, holds position as desired while being lightweight in design.
With the TPX2 system, the player is able to remove the Evno Swivel clamp and attach the TPX 2 MC mounting setup for off the bell usage. The TPX2 clamp mounts to the lead pipe of the trumpet or flugelhorn and with an extension rod included (TPX MC kit) the rod will mount to the same position as the swivel clamp on the body of the microphone creating an off the bell mounting setup.
The microphone itself is built with perfect venting as well as a highly attractive machining process creating a beautiful look while allowing the frequencies of the instrument to fully be captured by the microphone itself. Suspended in a standard microphone suspension of 8 points, the microphone allows for simple and easy replacements of the O rings as needed. The microphone body is terminated with a 3 pin mini XLR connection which is used for both wired and wireless connections.
The microphone system can be used wired or wirelessly. The Evno TPX2 can be ordered with the PS95 power supply for wired use while still being adaptable and ready to use with Evno, Shure, or Sennheiser wireless systems. (Sennheiser cable ordered separately.) Additional packages include the TPX2 system with Evno Wireless or the TPX2 microphone setup directly for use with Shure or Sennheiser wireless systems.
The complete Evno TPX2 ships with an Evno PS95 power supply / preamp, Evno Swivel Clamp (on bell), Evno Mounting hardware and clamp (off bell), TPX2 5.5” Microphone, and cable to connect microphone to PS95 power supply.
