The SX-CL is a spring loaded / double reinforcement clamp for flanged bell’d instruments. Comes stock with SX, SPX1, and SPX2 systems. The clamp is spring loaded which grips to the flange of a bell and offers a reinforcement screw to tighten for no movement. Used for alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones with the SX microphones, and the SPX 1 for single mic mounting of a soprano saxophone microphone. When used with the SPX2 the clamp position is reversed to accommodate the double soprano microphone. Made out or anodized aluminum the jaw of the clamp fits perfectly into the flanged portion of a bell style instrument such as saxophone, or any brass instrument like tuba, trombone, trumpet, and flugelhorn. The spring loaded system allows for quick and easy movement between horns without the need for the reinforcement screw.
The clamp attaches to the body of the microphone of the SX microphone creating a nice tight grip while allowing the positioning of the clamp in proportion to the microphone to be centered perfectly without rod twist or slippage. The SX-CL on the SPX1 soprano microphone is attached to the bell and includes an extension rod reaching the middle portion of the soprano saxophone.
The clamp with the SPX2 accepts the microphone from the top and places the microphone at an angle to reach both over the keys and in front of the bell. The SX-CL clamp can be used for Tenor, Alto, Bari, and Soprano saxophones if the player has a combination of Evno microphones.
