Evno Trumpet Microphones - from Chet Baker to Maynard Ferguson

Instrument microphones are not exactly Trumpet Microphones:

In the world of trumpet comes many styles of playing.  Due to the fact that a trumpet can produce decimal levels exceeding 110 dB depending on the player, instrument, and setup a special microphone must be used. A trumpet microphone must be able to not only reproduce the sound of the instrument naturally, however be able to with stand the SPL levels that lead style players can often produce.  Most microphone companies producing “instrument microphones” do not take into consideration the variety of players out there.  Sure, most “instrument microphones” can handle the SPL level of a Chet Baker,.. but can they handle  the level of a Maynard Ferguson, Arturo Sandoval, or Carl Fischer?   Evno Microphone Systems studies the instrument AND the players playing style to accommodate the immense sonic possibilities that the players can produce.

Trumpet Microphones and how they mount:

Just as the way trumpet players vary sonically, the mounting of a trumpet microphone is also important.  Most instrument microphones clip on to the bell with a general purpose capsule.  At Evno Microphones, we have learned that not all trumpet players want a bell mounted microphone. Though, the concept is fine for some, a personal preference maybe to mount the microphone somewhere other than the bell.  The Evno TPX1 is setup for bell mounting, however the TPX2 Trumpet Microphone is a brand new design allowing the player to use the microphone mounted to either the bell or off of the bell as needed. The TPX2 Trumpet Microphone is a thought out design that gives the player both options so they don’t have to choose one or the other. The robust construction of the TPX2 includes a solid mounting system, attached to the lead pipe which can slide away from the bell and be further adjusted with an Evno designed stay-flex gooseneck. The TPX2 trumpet microphone can be removed from the lead pipe mounting and also attached the bell with the Evno Swivel Clamp.  Evno has taken this whole concept to the next level and also offers a stand mounting solution for players standing or sitting in a fixed location with the Evno ST models.  A perfect companion for players in broadway style pit orchestras or players accustomed to standing in front of the dreaded ball style vocal microphones.  Evno is the only company on the market with a specific trumpet microphone that can acclimate bell, off of the bell, or stand mounting with a microphone designed specific for the instrument.

Wireless Trumpet Microphone:

While it’s common for an instrument clip-on microphone to be wired, and Evno has that covered, Evno also allows for the ability to use the microphones wireless with Evno, Shure, Sennheiser, and AKG wireless systems.  Many systems on the market are stand alone wireless instrument microphones however with Evno, you have the ability to adapt your microphone to all performance settings.  Evno Trumpet Microphones are professional level gear with all the options to allow the user to use the microphones from stadium concerts, concert halls, and clubs to coffee houses and even wirelessly in the middle of a field without AC power if needed.  These options boil down to a wired or wireless trumpet microphone with stand, on, or off bell mounting all setup with with a high SPL capsule able to withstand whatever you can dish out.

What Makes The Evno Microphone Systems Product Line Special

EVNO Microphone Systems manufactures various capsules (Cardioid, High SPL Cardioid, and Omni) throughout the product line. We offer model designs that are designed specifically for various instruments. This is achieved by studying the instrument, all the varying playing styles and needs of the musicians, as well analyzing the sonic frequencies needed for a high quality product. Specific rather than general is the end goal taking into consideration all necessities that ultimately change the overall frequency response required for each instrument. This is similar to the difference between a general-purpose microphone and one made specifically for kick drum or why a flute microphone would differ from an acoustic bass. Our mission is to take things one step further and provide the most flattering and natural sounding microphones for all instruments... Not just one or two!
