Specific Use Cases and Scenarios for Evno Microphones with ST-CL Clamp
Big Bands:
• Saxophone Sections: Mounting microphones on stands can provide the section with a uniform sound capture, ensuring balanced audio levels and precise placement for optimal acoustics. Easy to move on the stand, the gooseneck also offers the player to adjust the position to the various doubling instruments that are commonly played in a big band setting. Due to its smaller footprint than a normal stand microphone, it’s easier to physically move in tight to the microphone while during certain musical passages are played that may require their part to stand out.
• Trombone Sections: Using stand-mounted microphones helps maintain consistent audio quality and placement, crucial for trombone sections with their wide dynamic range. An Evno TBXST setup covers the full dynamic range of a trombone’s potential and will naturally absorb the sound as the player approaches for a solo.
• Trumpet Sections: Stand-mounted microphones can handle the high sound pressure levels of trumpet sections, offering clarity without distortion.
Broadway Show Pits:
• Pit Orchestra: In a pit orchestra setting, where space is limited and precision is essential, stand-mounted microphones allow for fixed, reliable placement, reducing the need for adjustments during performances. The player can easily place their instrument on an instrument stand while not playing during long passages.
Concert Band Solo Microphones:
• Soloists: Stand-mounted microphones provide soloists with stable, high-quality instrument specific audio capture, enhancing their performance by ensuring their sound is clear and prominent.
Home Recording:
• Instrument Recording: Musicians can use stand-mounted microphones for precise placement and consistent sound capture. Unless the players movement is crucial to the performance a stand option maybe beneficial. If the player tends to move a-lot during a typical performance then a clip-on may enhance the audio capture. An Evno setup, due to its smaller footprint could assist in the recording by allowing the player to tuck in tighter to the microphone as needed. The flexibility of the stand and gooseneck can position as needed.
Jazz Ensemble Solo Microphones:
• Soloists: Typically in a jazz ensemble the ‘solo’ microphone usually sits out in front of the band. An Evno microphone can easily be setup for the soloist out front to walk up to. And optional idea maybe to use a clip-on model wireless so one soloist could pass the microphone to the next depending on the demands of the music.
Marching Band Soloists:
• Solo Walk-Ups: For soloists who step forward to perform, stand-mounted microphones offer a reliable option for capturing solos without needing a clip-on mic, maintaining sound quality in outdoor environments. The option is there to also us the Evno microphone as a clip-on for the band’s next performance.
Sound Engineers for Specific Instruments:
• Acoustic Bass: Stand-mounted microphones allow for optimal positioning to capture the full range of the acoustic bass's sound, essential for live settings. The engineer now can provide a specific instrument designed microphone for the musician without worrying about if the player “would allow” them to fit it to their instrument.
• Cello: Engineers can achieve precise sound capture with stand-mounted microphones, crucial for the rich tonal qualities of the cello.
• Saxophones: Stand-mounted microphones provide stable, high-quality audio capture, essential for recording and live sound.
• Trombones: Fixed placement ensures the powerful dynamics of the trombone are captured accurately.
• Trumpets: Stand-mounted microphones can handle high sound pressure levels, ensuring clear, distortion-free sound.
• Low Brass: For instruments like tubas and euphoniums, stand-mounted microphones ensure balanced audio capture, highlighting their deep, resonant tones.
Tight Stages:
• Limited Space: In environments where stage space is restricted, stand-mounted microphones allow for efficient use of space while maintaining sound quality, essential for performances where movement is minimal or not desired.
These scenarios highlight the versatility and practicality of using Evno Microphones with the ST-CL clamp, providing tailored solutions for various performance and recording environments.
