Description

The EVNO BSX1 Bassoon microphone system is designed and manufactured by hand in the USA. The microphone is designed specifically for bassoon to produce the most natural reproduction of sound possible while allowing for the most gain before feedback.  The microphone will allow you to be heard as you sound without coloration giving the audience a true representation of the sound the player works a lifetime to develop. This one mic setup is simple to use allowing for adjustment over the bell joint.  It allows for both hardwired and wireless application to accommodate a variety of performance situations.

The BSX1 is the perfect choice from solo performance settings, principal soloist’s in all genres, to the marching band fields.  The system can be used in low to high volume applications without the worry of low end feedback from surrounding instruments.

The BSX-CL clamp allows for perfect placement around the bell bell joint of the bassoon putting the head of the microphone at the perfect axis point without any spin or twist to off set the microphone from the instrument. It is easy to clamp on and take off the bell joint with a tightening thumb screw style clamp while always being attached at the desired height with a padded velcro strap. The clamp also allows the player to attach to the boot joint as well if desired. (Optional model: BSX2 offers a double microphone setup for mounting to both the boot and bell joints.)  The BSX1 gooseneck, designed in the USA, holds position as desired while being lightweight in design.  The microphone itself is built with perfect venting as well as a highly attractive machining process creating a beautiful look while allowing the frequencies of the instrument to fully be captured by the microphone itself.  Suspended in a standard microphone suspension of variable 7 points, the microphone allows for simple and easy replacements of the O rings as needed.  The microphone body is terminated with a 3 pin mini XLR connection which is used for both wired and wireless connections.

The microphone system can be used wired or wirelessly.  The EVNO BSX1 is shipped with the PS95 power supply for wired use while still being adaptable and ready to use with EVNO, Shure, AKG, or Sennheiser wireless systems.  (AKG and Sennheiser cables ordered separately to mate the microphone with another brand wireless or available in a package with the microphone and cable for customers who already own an Evno, AKG, Shure, or Sennheiser system.) The included cable with the BSX1 model works both with the Evno PS95 phantom power adapter, and Shure wireless transmitters.  By-pass the cable to connect to Evno clip-on wireless transmitters creating a completely wire free setup.  Additional packages include the BSX1 system with EVNO Wireless or the BSX1 microphone setup directly for use with Shure, AKG, or Sennheiser wireless systems.

The complete Evno BSX1 setup includes the Evno PS95 power supply / preamp, Evno BSX-CL Clamp, BSX1 5.5”in microphone, case, and a cable.  XLR cables to connect from the PS95 power supply to a mixing console not included. A standard XLR / Mic cable is required for hardwired connections.

What Is Phantom power?

Phantom power is direct current (DC) electric power that is applied equally to both signal wires of a balanced microphone cable. Phantom power supplies are most often built into mixing consoles and microphone preamps. The purpose of Phantom power is to supply 48 volts of current to microphones that have built-in active circuitry over the same cable that is used to send the microphone’s signal back to the mixer or preamp. Since there is no visible power supply unit (like those common with tube microphones) the term Phantom power is used.

Do you offer a belt pack style transmitter with a volume control?

Yes, Evno offers the A2 belt pack transmitter for musicians who prefer an on-body transmitter. The A2 includes a convenient volume control, allowing players to adjust their sound levels effortlessly.

Do you have a hand held wireless microphone?

Yes, Evno offers the AH handheld microphone which sync’s to the W1, W2, and Air receivers.  The most common setup would be to combine the AH with W2 Dual receiver to have both a wireless horn microphone and hand held active at the same time.
