The EVNO ACX2 external accordion microphone system is designed and manufactured by hand in the USA. The microphone is designed specifically to be used on the right hand of piano, button, and chromatic accordions of all sizes. The double microphone systems allows for the full range of the accordion while a special design circuit allows the lower tones of a tone chambered instrument, which often require more air to produce louder volume levels, to stand out. The microphone will allow you to be heard as you sound without coloration, giving the audience a true representation of the sound of the instrument.
The ACX2 is the perfect choice from solo performance settings, principal soloist’s in all genres, to high energy bands of all styles. From orchestral musicians to jazz, folk, klezmer, and polka the ACX2 will give you a setup where all the nuances of the instrument can be heard. Each genre and player has a different sound and by keeping the microphone flatly EQ’d, you’ll sound like YOU sound without coloration. The system can be used in low to high volume applications without the worry of saturating the element due to volume or high end feedback from surrounding instruments.
The ACX2 microphone is built independent from the clamp which allows removal of the microphone and transmitter if using wireless to be quickly packed away after a performance.
The Evno designed clamp is mounted to the grill of an accordion with several options. The preferred option is by placing two screws through any preexisting holes in the grill. A small hole through the grill cloth maybe necessary. The included screws are small and will screw into the bottom of the clamp while the screw and washer hold the clamp onto the grill from the inside of the accordion. The clamp can be left on the grill after removing the microphone for quick setups in the future. The placement of the clamp would be selected by preference or where openings in the grill would allow attachment. If the grill doesn’t have a useable hole for two screws, an optional velcro strap is included to feed into the grill and back around to the clamp for attachment. Openings on the grill will be needed for this mounting system and it maybe required to cut the grill cloth again for an opening.
The double flex-stay gooseneck allows movement of the microphones away from the body of the instrument as desired. The microphone is easy to place on and take off the instrument with a screw tightening clamp. The accordion can be set down on its side without disturbance from external jacks of any kind.
The microphone itself is built with perfect venting as well as a highly attractive machining process creating a beautiful look while allowing the frequencies of the instrument to fully be captured by the microphone itself. Suspended in two standard variable 7 point suspensions, the microphone allows for simple and easy replacements of the O rings as needed. The microphone body is terminated with a 3 pin mini XLR connection which is used for both wired and wireless connections.
The microphone system can be used wired or wirelessly. The Evno ACX2 is shipped with the PS95 power supply for wired use while still being adaptable and ready to use with Evno, Shure, AKG, or Sennheiser wireless systems. (AKG and Sennheiser cables ordered separately to mate the microphone with another brand wireless or available in a package with the microphone and cable for customers who already own an Evno, AKG, Shure, or Sennheiser system.) The included cable with the ACX2 system works both with the Evno PS95 phantom power adapter, and Shure wireless transmitters. By-pass the cable to connect to Evno clip-on wireless transmitters. Additional packages include the ACX2 system with Evno Wireless or the ACX2 microphone setup directly for use with Shure, AKG, or Sennheiser wireless systems.
The complete Evno ACX2 setup includes an Evno PS95 power supply / preamp, Evno ACX2-CL Clamp, ACX2 Double Microphone, case, and cable. XLR cables to connect from the PS95 power supply to a mixing console not included. A standard XLR / Mic cable is required.
The Evno W1 is the flag-ship wireless setup in the Evno wireless line. The W1 offers a True Diversity antenna system which provides the greatest distance at about 150meters. The Evno W1 True Diversity operates two antennas and two receivers at the same time while combining the audio. The antenna system switches the audio between antenna A and B depending on which antenna signal is stronger at the position on the stage. A True Diversity system is more stable and advanced as it also offers greater range as apposed to a diversity system with a single or double antenna.
The W1 is housed in a metal chassis with 1-XLR and 1-1/4in output. A 1/2 rack-mountable design, the system come with a rack-kit and extension cables to place in a standard rack unit. The extension kit places the antennas on the front of the of the rack case allowing quick removal of the antennas for storage. The antennas disconnect with an BNC locking connector to either the back or front when racked.
Powered by an included 12V power supply is easy to setup. The available 99 channels are changed with with a sync’ing process that sends the signal from the receiver to the transmitters with IR. Easy to change quickly on stage. Use of 5-6 systems simultaneously allows for horn style bands of all types to use an Evno belt-pack free wireless system. The W1 can also be used along side the Air and W2 systems and are not only compatible with both but also compatible with the A2, AH, and A4 transmitters. *Dependent on region and availability.
The W1 system is available in the 900-928MHz range for the United States, Brazil, Canada, and other free frequency regions while the 823-832Mhz range is setup for most territories in Europe. **see chart below for more information.
The W1 system is shipped with a rack-kit, antennas, 12V power supply, extension cables, and the A1 transmitter to combine with an Evno microphone. The system in combination with an Evno microphone produces the most natural reproduction of an acoustic instrument on the market.
The Evno W1 Wireless System offers a complete package for musicians seeking a True Diversity, rack mountable, high-quality wireless solution for their Evno Microphone. The system includes all necessary components to ensure a seamless and reliable performance experience.
Here’s what’s included:

2. Rack Mount Kit: This allows the receiver to be mounted in a standard equipment rack for organized and secure installation.
3. 2 BNC Antennas: These antennas are used for the receiver to capture the wireless signals from the transmitter.
4. Power Supply: Provides correct power the receiver unit.
5. User Guide: Provides instructions on how to set up and operate the system.
6. EVNO A1 Wireless Clip-On Instrument Microphone Transmitter: A wireless transmitter designed to be clipped onto an instrument, allowing it to send audio signals to the receiver.
The complete Evno ACX2-Air setup includes:
**XLR cables to connect from the PS95 power supply to a mixing console not included. A standard XLR / Mic cable is required for hardwired connections.
The preferred mounting solution is by utilizing an opening in the grill of the accordion to feed the two screw setup on the bottom of the clamp. In most accordions, an opening in the grill can be found without the need to drill holes. Each accordion grill is different and will require some degree of creative installing to mount to the desired position. An optional velcro loop is provided if holes are not obtainable. With the velcro loop or the screw holes a hole in the grill cloth maybe necessary. Once set in place with the two installing screws, the clamp can be left on the instrument when the microphone is taken off.
The ACX2 is a wired setup for players not requiring wireless, however the ultimate setup comes when placing the A1 transmitter on the microphone and using Evno Wireless. This creates a COMPLETELY wire-free setup. FOR MORE INFORMATION see these models:

What Is Phantom power?
Phantom power is direct current (DC) electric power that is applied equally to both signal wires of a balanced microphone cable. Phantom power supplies are most often built into mixing consoles and microphone preamps. The purpose of Phantom power is to supply 48 volts of current to microphones that have built-in active circuitry over the same cable that is used to send the microphone’s signal back to the mixer or preamp. Since there is no visible power supply unit (like those common with tube microphones) the term Phantom power is used.
