By capturing the side instead of the bell allows for a darker reproduction of sound as well as allowing the microphone to be placed on a traditional soprano saxophone stand.  The SPX2S bell mounted setup is designed to produce the most natural reproduction of sound possible while allowing for the most gain before feedback.  The double microphone design has a predetermined mix allowing the frequencies over the body to be greater while keeping the microphone in phase achieving the most natural sound out of the instrument as possible.  The SPX2S double microphone design includes two elements tuned specifically for soprano and suited to address all the problems that are common in mic’ing a soprano saxophone.  The microphone will allow you to be heard as you sound without coloration, giving the audience a true representation and the most detail a player works a lifetime to develop. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe SPX2S is the perfect choice from solo performance settings, principal soloist’s in all genres, to high energy horn section bands of all styles.  The SPX2S is a favorite among jazz and rock players giving them the natural sound of the instrument in all ranges.  The system can be used in low to high volume applications without the worry of saturating the element due to volume or high end feedback from surrounding instruments.  The double microphone setup captures all the nuances and subtleties possible from pro level players. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe SPX2S is the ideal choice for soprano players playing not only as a principal soloist but saxophone sections alike.  The newly designed clamp allows for perfect placement on the bell of the soprano by putting the upper head of the microphone at the perfect point above the keys and the lower microphone on the lower left side of the horn.  The gooseneck allows movement away from the body as needed to accommodate fingers and key movement.  The microphone is easy to clamp on and take off the bell with a spring loaded clamp while always being attached at the perfect height. The clamp is attached to the instrument with a loaded spring but also includes a reinforcement screw and locking nut if your movement on stage is extreme. With the reinforcement screw not active, the setup can be moved quickly from one horn to another.  The SXCL clamp is compatible with the Evno SX SX tenor, alto, and baritone saxophone microphone as needed.  The SPX2S stay flex gooseneck, designed in the USA, holds position as desired while being lightweight in design.  The microphone itself is built with perfect venting as well as a highly attractive machining process creating a beautiful look while allowing the frequencies of the instrument to fully be captured by the microphone itself.  Suspended in a standard variable 7 point ring, the microphone allows for simple and easy replacements of the O rings as needed.  The microphone body is terminated with a 3 pin mini XLR connection which is used for both wired and wireless connections.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe microphone system can be used with the Evno A1 clip-on transmitter for beltpack-free wireless, wired with the PS95, or wirelessly with the Evno A2 beltpack transmitter as well as with Shure, Sennheiser, and AKG systems.  The hardwired Evno SPX2S is shipped with the PS95 power supply for wired use while still being compatible with Evno, Shure, AKG, or Sennheiser wireless systems.    (AKG and Sennheiser cables ordered separately to mate the microphone with another brand wireless or available in a package with the microphone and cable for customers who already own an Evno, AKG, Shure, or Sennheiser system.)
